Grace Ministry celebrated the festival of Christmas with pomp and grandeur on Friday, December 14, 2018, at it's Prayer Center in Balmatta, Mangalore.
Hundreds gathered at the Prayer Center to celebrate the Birth of Jesus. The Prayer Center wore a festive look, all adorned with twinkling stars, colourful lights and beautiful cribs in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It was, as usual, a spectacular and fun-filled function, with the overall theme of ‘Christmas’ and its messages of love, peace, giving and sharing.
As the winters approach, the month of December comes with the cold winds and white snow. It marks the start of the festive season in most parts of the world, as it’s the Christmas Month. The month of Celebration, togetherness and faith in God & most importantly it is the Celebration of love, hope and the bond people share.
The most famous verse in the Bible is Jesus' explanation of why God sent him to earth: "God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." The entire reason for Christmas is the love of God. God loves us so much that he came to earth as a human so we could get to know him and learn to trust him and love him back. Thus, Christmas is a season of praise and thanksgiving for the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ.
The graceful occasion thus began with the melodious joyful hymns and music, by Bro Isaac Richard through which people enjoyed being in the presence of the lord. Many who had attended the program from different parts of Karnataka came forward to testify the great things that the Lord Jesus has done in their life. Among the witnesses were Brother Samuel and Chandra who had all the way come from Pavagada, Tumkur District. He testified how several years back Bro Andrew came to their village and prophesied. He said "When Bro had come to our town, he had to travel on the bullock cart and had to minister, but it was a tough journey. But during those days Bro Andrew had prophesied of how God is going to turn this village into a blessing and yes true to his word today our town is immensely blessed with broad roads and 24x7 transport facilities and also people in the city remember the word from the lord that Bro Andrew foretold long years ago".
Brother Jesudas from Bangalore also shared his life-changing testimony of how God immensely blessed his life after he met Bro Andrew Richard. "I had lost my father at an early age. All that I had in my life was a bicycle and my mother. Our condition was terrible. During such time I got introduced to Bro Andrew, and he prayed over us and said my life would have a sudden twist and God will bless me immensely" and yes true to his word my life has become a life of blessing. Today I have my travel business, and God has blessed with me 3-4 cars today. These testimonies were of great hope to the people who attended the program.
Bro Andrew urged the faithful to follow in the path of Jesus Christ and said that "Things like Christmas trees, stars, and carols give us happiness superficially, but we must celebrate Christmas meaningfully and feel it within us by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Give space in your hearts, open the doors of your houses for others. Jesus Christ gave us the message of love, brotherhood and peace."
He added, "God sent his Son to convey His message to us. We must live together as God's children. Jesus Christ died for us, which indicates how much he loves us, and so we must like each other.
On this joyous occasion, Christmas carols were sung by Grace Ministry choir team. Meanwhile, exclusive dance performances captured the hearts of many. Santa’s entry was a surprise to the children, which thrilled them. He wished the gathering a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Different Variety of Games also were conducted to entertain people. Winners were also gifted Christmas Gifts by the Grace Ministry Team members.
Additionally "Grace Ministry 2019 Calendar" was released in the presence of the gathering by Bro Andrew Richard and the Grace Ministry Prayer Team. The Calendar contains Verse of the day and also the verse of the month.
A special charitable event was also held as a part of the celebrations, which consisted distribution of sarees, provisional goodies to the needy & downtrodden and also to the members of the Esther Welfare Ministry, a helping hand to the widows. Hundreds were benefitted and blessed by it. The event thus ended with exclusive Xmas Lunch.
