Saint Vincent Kaun was born in Korea around 16 century he was a Martyr of Japan who was brought in 1591, as a prisoner of war and was subsequently converted to Christianity.
While in Japan, Vincent was converted to Christianity. Vincent then decided to join the Jesuits and studied at the Jesuit seminary of Arima. He worked for three decades as a catechist in both Japan and China. Vincent was burned alive at Nagasaki with Blessed Francis Pacheco in 1626 during the persecution of the Church. He was beatified in 1867.
