We Focus more on the Problem

15-11-2017

It’s easy to get comfortable and slip under the sheets of self-pity, avoiding reality. Why do we do that? We focus on the problem. We forget all about our Omnipotent God.

There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you. Deuteronomy 11:25

This was El Shaddai’s (God Almighty’s)  Word to the people of Israel then and for us today.

The backdrop to this episode is when Israeli spies brought back reports after surveying the land of Canaan – the land promised to the Israelites by God. The spies came back terrified. They reported that the land, although flowing with milk and honey, was inhabited by giants and that gave them an identity crisis. The spies said they were like Lilliputs in a land of Gullivers.

It’s easy to get comfortable and slip under the sheets of self-pity, avoiding reality. Why do we do that? We focus on the problem. We forget all about our Omnipotent God. It’s like looking through the kaleidoscope of broken glass bangles and getting paranoid of getting hurt by them.

What are you focusing on today?

This is what your Creator, your Heavenly Father says to you as He said to the Israelites – There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread on, as he has said to you.

Can you imagine? Take sometime and allow this truth to sink in. May the Holy Spirit comfort and guide you.

Today, reposition your visual – shift your focus from the pygmy-sized issues of your life to the gigantic God you call Father.
