Jesus my Healer

“And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee.” Deuteronomy 7:15

We live in a world that is polluted and adulterated. With a number of viruses, infections, and diseases prevailing in our world, it’s no wonder we all fall sick ever so often. Sickness can take a toll on even the most mature believer. It can weary the mind and really test our faith.

But even in the midst of sickness, we are not without hope. God promised the Israelites that when they followed Him, He would take away all their sicknesses. Their ill-health would no longer have any power over them. Through the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross, we too have access to the healing power of God.

God is a Healer, there’s no doubt about that. If you are going through a physical ailment, keep seeking the Lord for healing. Sometimes He heals miraculously, and sometimes He uses medical treatment to make us better. But no matter what the method of healing, we must remember that it is God alone who heals.

Prayer: Father, thank you for the blood of Jesus that has already purchased my healing. My sickness does not have any power over me. Heal me Lord and make me whole again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
