God's way is Perfect

“As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:30

We like to think we know what’s best for us. We have specific needs we want God to meet, and many more wishes we want Him to fulfill. But God is not a genie in a bottle, is He? He is Lord of all creation – Maker of Heaven and earth, sea and sky. And yet, this great God wants to help you have a great life. He wants you to live an abundant life. But that means you have to be willing to follow His ways.

The Bible says that God’s way is perfect. Why wouldn’t it be? God is fully aware of your past struggles, your present circumstances, and the treasures that await you in the future. When you trust Him to lead you, He will guide you in the perfect path that He has marked out for you. It might not always be pleasant. You might encounter harsh weather at times, and obstacles in your path… But as long as you hold on to God, He will lead you safely to the other side.

Well, now that we know God’s way is perfect, how do we find out which way it is? Simple, we ask God! Surrender your wishes to Him, and allow His Holy Spirit to lead you. God’s word is flawless – allow His life-giving words to guide your legs. And when you allow God to lead, when you trust His guidance, the Bible says that He will protect you. You need not fear what lies ahead because you are walking in God’s way, and He will be your shield.
