God knows your pain

“O Lord, you have searched me, and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up, you understand my thought afar off.” Psalm 139:1-2 –

Do you often feel that nobody could possibly understand you, or what you are going through? We all have a habit of putting on a happy face on the outside while dealing with a lot of issues on the inside. Truth is, even if you try to explain your situation to someone, they might not fully understand. But there is Someone who knows you inside out – the One who created you.

When a household appliance breaks down, we call an expert – someone who knows all about it and can easily fix it. Yet, when we break down, do we run immediately to our Maker? Or do we try to patch things up by ourselves first? The Lord knows you intimately; there’s nothing you can hide from Him. He knows your deepest thoughts and secret fears. He understands what’s running through your mind and He wants to help you conquer it.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being someone I can always count on. You know me better than anybody else in this world. Help me overcome my doubts, fears and negative thoughts. Purify my mind and make me more like You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
