God is our protector

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. (KJV) Psalm 16:8

It is good to have the Lord always before us. It is good also to have Him watch over us and monitor us. We shall not be shaken or moved when God is at our right hand. With God on our side, we shall be able to do wonders. Every high and lofty mountains shall be flat as plains. Every other mountains of doubt will go and fall in the sea.

The psalmist’s greatest strength came from God. King David did not regard anything else other than the presence of God. He cared less for his army or for his forces. All that he cared about throughout his life was God and His presence. He knew one thing that if he had God on his side, the enemy would be kept at bay. When we set the Lord before us always, we will find ourselves marching into victory. We have to set Him above our circumstances, above our disease, above our career, etc. He should be the one leading us. When we have God watching over us and protecting us, we shall not be moved. Nothing in this world can ever destroy our faith and confidence in God as long as we have Him before us.

God will defend and protect everyone who respect and honour Him. Making Him our defence or our refuge is a life term commitment. Allowing Him to go before us strengthens our bond with Him. Him being on our right hand side and keeping us safe shows His willingness and faithfulness as a faithful father.
