“Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb: “I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself.”
Every year since 1986, February 28th has been celebrated as National Science Day in India. It commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman for which he’d received a Nobel Prize. While the renowned Indian physicist studied the scattering of light, guess who created light in the first place? Genesis 1:3 tells us it was God who spoke light into being.
Isn’t it amazing that God, who brought light into existence and stretched out the vast expanse of the heavens and the earth, also created each of us? Unlike everything else that God spoke into being, He formed man with His own hands. He didn’t outsource the creation of mankind. He intricately fashioned us in His own image (Genesis 1:27).
God formed you in your mother’s womb – from the tiniest tissue to the largest organ – and He loves you like no one else can. When you commit your life to Him, you know that you’re in safe hands. He will watch over you, and take care of your needs. You have nothing to fear. The Almighty Creator who spoke light into being is actively working in and through you, as you reflect the beacon of His love in this world.
