Daily Devotion - God my Keeper

Psalm 37:40 (NKJV): The Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

God has a plan and purpose for our lives. In Jeremiah 29:11 God declares that His plans for His children are to prosper them and not to bring them harm and to give them hope and a future.

When we are going through a difficult period in our lives and everything seems hopeless, we do not need to despair. God is with us. When we put our trust in Him and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour, God is our help. When we have no one else to look to, God is there for us. He is our refuge and strength and always with us in our times of trouble.  

The Bible is Psalm 34:4 says that when you seek the Lord, he answers and He delivers us from sin, and through our faith in Him, He gives us salvation. In our daily lives, we are exposed to so much sin and temptation. How do we protect ourselves from it? We need to put our trust in God and He will save us and protect us and give us the strength to turn away from all evil.

As the Bible says in 1 John 4:4, greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world, why then should we fear anything when our Lord has sovereignty over all His creation. Relying on God and keeping our eyes fixed firmly on Him means, to trust Him, and through Him, we will have everlasting life.
