For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14

Forgiveness is the greatest character that everyone should possess.  Jesus Christ is the perfect example of a forgiving God.  He forgave people even on the cross.  If we forgive others their sins, our heavenly Father will also forgive us.

Forgiveness is something which is done and received for free.  When we forgive someone from the heart, we are actually releasing ourselves of the pain and hurt that is caused to us by the other person.  If we fail to forgive someone, we are the ones who will suffer pain and anguish.  It will lead to sickness in our body.  Therefore when we release someone off our heart and life of sins caused against us, we are actually doing ourselves a great job. Sometimes it is hard to forgive someone who has deliberately caused us harm or tarnished our image, however, the Bible teaches us to forgive.  When we ask God to forgive us, there should not be anything in our life as a hinderance for God to show His mercy towards us.  Forgiveness is a powerful tool in the life of a believer.  Forgiveness changes lives for good.

Love people from the heart.  When we do so, forgiving becomes easy.  It becomes simple to let go.  Let’s always follow the example of Jesus.  Learn to forgive trespasses and receive forgiveness from God.  However, bitter someone has made you feel in the past, learn to forgive that person.  Let go and let God.
