“For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.” Job 5:18

We all like to live comfortable and pleasant lives. We enjoy having our way and wish life was all sunshine and rainbows with never a gloomy day. Unfortunately, that isn’t the reality of life. We all experience some degree of pain or trouble ever so often. And sometimes, we may even blame God for what we’re going through.

While God may not be directly responsible for your misfortune, He might allow trials to assail you at times. But that doesn’t mean He’s punishing you or withholding His love from you. Job experienced unimaginable physical and emotional agony. But God helped Him through it and restored everything He had lost. Jochebed had to let Moses float away on the river, but God restored him back to her, along with the protection of Pharaoh’s influence.

If you are wounded in your heart, don’t despair… God will heal you and make you stronger than before. If your life feels shattered now, don’t walk away from God. He will bind up the pieces and restore your life by His grace. Hold on to Jesus through the pain and suffering, and you will experience the fullness of His love and peace in your life.
