1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ”KJV

The Holy Bible puts a positive spin on the act of thankfulness. It teaches us that thankfulness is a way of life. It is a sign of spiritual maturity. The above verse encourages us to be thankful in every situation. As children of the most high God, we know that nothing just happens. Everything is a part of His divine plan for us. God builds us through every trail and equips us for what is to come. When we accept His will in our lives, we grow in wisdom and are made strong. It is in times of hardships, that we actually experience God’s grace and deliverance.

Challenges and failures are a part of life. However, when we walk in the will of God with thanksgiving, victory becomes inevitable. God appreciates a heart filled with thanksgiving. He blesses those who thank Him regardless of their circumstances. God is not indebted to anyone. When we thank Him for nothing, He will make sure that He gives us something to be thankful for. This is the God we serve. Let us adopt the attitude of gratitude, because when we are thankful for the little, we stand to receive much more.
